Year 7 enjoyed a successful Spring Term with much to celebrate. We congratulated many students for various achievements in our rewards assembly before we broke up for a well-deserved Easter break. Ahead of the Summer Term, stats have now reset for the final time and the many and varied rewards are now available to all students who endeavour to ‘play their part’ for their school.

Ready to Learn

162 of our Year 7s (76%) were rewarded for their exemplary behaviour throughout the Spring Term. To consistently meet our expectations in both classroom and social areas over a term is an achievement we feel deserves recognition.

Alpha Group

10 new students joined the Year 7 Alpha Group for achieving an excellent average skill rating across all subjects which makes 52 students (24%) in total. Skills are recorded 1-3 in the following areas: Self-awareness, Emotional intelligence, Self-motivation and Learning Power.

Expert Learners

19 students displayed an improved attitude and were invited to our KS3 Rewards Breakfast.

100% Attendance

30 students (14%) achieved 100% attendance in the Spring Term.

Sport

Year 7 continue to excel in sport at St. Ninian’s and there have been many successes. The number of our students participating in sport, making up multiple teams and thoroughly enjoying themselves is just brilliant. Following successful seasons in Football and Netball our top sportspersons were named.

Special mention to our Girls football team who were unbeaten and won the Year 7 schools trophy.

The Big Splash

I hope you are enjoying the various stories I have been sharing of our Year 7 in their campaign to raise money and awareness for Hospice IOM. We are proud and excited to be involved and our brilliant dolphin sculptures have now left us for final preparations ahead of the art trail. Our target was £2000 and we are currently at £1792.40, which is awesome and shows you the ethos and generosity of our students and their families.

Thank you to our parents/guardians for your continued support and congratulations to our amazing Year 7 students on a successful Spring Term.
