Thank you to DASC Head Coach, James Wright, for the following report of the second weekend at the IOM Swimming championships, which featured more success for the SNHS teams.

The boys were up first in the 4x50 freestyle, and the elite senior team of Jamie Farnan, Josh Hollamby, Jack Marshall and Dylan Larossa did not disappoint.
Jamie stamped his authority on the race early and Jack bossed his way to a great 50. Josh engaged his torpedo underwater dolphin kick and Dylan’s windmill arms took the team home to gold in an amazing time of 1:47, we believe a school record!

The B team of Harvey Barrow, Joey Wright, Charley Bevan and Oscar Maddrell had an amazing race too.
Harvey muscled his way through a fast opening 50 before Joey leapt like a salmon off the blocks into the cool NSC water. Charley ‘The Banter’ Bevan lived up to his own hype and Magic Maddrell conjured up a super fast finish to take BRONZE! A superb result for this young upcoming team.

The girls A team (pictured) featured Chloe Batty, Hailey Henrico, Molly Bevan and Holly McEvoy.
Chloe had a lightening quick first leg, handing over to Hailey ‘The Hurricane’ Henrico who ably maintained the lead. Molly was majestic under pressure from an advancing QEII team. Holly on anchor stared out the opposition who knew deep down in their souls that they were no match for her turbo charged kick and freestyle power. Gold for the girls!!

The girls B team had a very strong swim with Katelyn Henrico, Hannah Smith, Faye Marshall and Tallulah Wilson coming home in an excellent 2:25 and showing they are ones to watch in the future.

The SNHS crew return to school as double champions in freestyle and medley relays. Congratulations to all of them!
