What a fantastic achievement to make it to the IOM Schools' Year 8 Final this year! It had been our aim all season and we were excited to find out that, despite losing two of our league fixtures, we had finished in second place to secure our place in the Final against Castle Rushen High School. After a big defeat to CRHS in the league fixture, we were determined to prove ourselves and give the very strong CRHS side a good game.

SNHS got off to a good start, scoring the first goal, but then CRHS got into their stride and pulled ahead to finish the 1st quarter 7-2. The 2nd quarter was very exciting with the SNHS girls getting within one goal of CRHS scoring 5 goals in quick succession. By the end of the 2nd quarter CRHS had managed to pull away again and the score was 14-7 at half-time. Throughout the second half the Saints continued to work really hard and made it difficult for CRHS, challenging every ball, but CRHS had found their stride and the game finished 24-10.

The girls should all be really proud of how they played, the scoreline did not reflect the game and we certainly achieved our aim of proving ourselves! Well done to Erin Morgan (Captain) who was awarded the umpire's player of the match for St. Ninian's, she led by example and kept the team going for the duration of the game.

Thank you to the MNA umpires who gave up their time to umpire the game and a huge thank you to all the supporters, parents and students, it gave the girls a huge boost to have so many people cheering them on.
