Our Year 7 boys took part in the Island Basketball Tournament at Bemahague at the end of last term, competing against all secondary schools from across the island.
Despite limited fixture opportunities this year due to combined age-group competitions, the boys prepared well and played five closely contested games, recording tight wins, a draw, and narrow losses. The team moved the ball well and worked hard throughout, creating lots of pressure, with shooting and lay-ups identified as a key area to keep developing.
Strong performances came from N McKee and B Bradshaw, with J Chadwick named Most Valuable Player for his excellent contributions in both attack and defence.
A big thank you to Miss Murphy for organising the tournament.
Players are encouraged to continue developing their skills at Saturday morning basketball sessions at the NSC (9:00–11:00am).
A great effort from all involved! Well done boys!
