On Thursday 17th September St. Ninian's welcomed in many of the 2026 General Election candidates standing in our catchment constituencies where students from Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 were able meet with them to discuss the candidates' manifestos and raise the issues, both local and national that affect them. It was great to see so many of our students willing to engage in political debate with the candidates and put forward the many views and perspectives young people on the island hold. This is the third General Election in which our school has held such an event which brings our students face to face with those candidates hoping to represent them in the next parliament.

We are thankful to the candidates that chose to come a long and engage with our students and wish them all luck in General Election on Thursday 24th September. A big thank you also goes to Ms. Crisford, our Head of Social Sciences who organised the event.
