SNHS are delighted to play our part in the Island’s community by taking delivery of two blank medium sized wallaby sculptures! Our Year 7 cohort will be taking the lead working together and showing their creativity in Art lessons to design templates and decorate the sculptures.

‘Wallabies Gone Wild’ is a mass participation art event in support of Hospice Isle of Man and will be held on Island over 12 weeks from May to September 2019. During this time the Isle of Man will be brought to life by a mob of beautifully designed wallaby sculptures. The sculptures designed and decorated by Year 7 will go on display throughout the trail before returning to school display.

During the coming months Year 7 will be working with Head of Year Mr Cretney and the Year 7 tutor team on various fundraising ideas to help Hospice support their patients and families and we look forward to sharing our updates.

The event will not only offer endless hours of fun for residents and visitors but will create community cohesion, and will have a positive impact on all those involved.
