Today has been a very exciting, positive and busy time at St. Ninian's with nearly a hundred Year 13 students receiving their A2 results and over 150 Year 12 students receiving their AS results.

Our A Level results were impressive, with 21% of all grades at A* or A and over 43% of all grades at A*-B. Of those students hoping to go to university, most have accepted a place at their first choice institution with others accepting their second choice. Some students have done better than expected and have been able to adjust their application to secure a place at university and a small number have been successful in securing a place through clearing. Some students have also chosen to stay on island and have secured employment.

All of us at school would like to congratulate our students for their success and to remind you that if any students or parents require any further advice or support they can make an appointment with a member of the Sixth Form team who will be available for the rest of Thursday 15th August and all day 16th August. We are here to help.

Important message from Department of Education, Sport and Culture for those students taking up a place at university:

We hope that you get the results you want and that Thursday 15th August is a celebratory day for you but please don’t forget to send us your results and UCAS AS12 confirmation letter as these are important for us to be able to process your application. Any delays will have a knock-on impact on your confirmation of award letter. Results should be sent in photograph or scanned formats – please remember to include your name in the email title.

Please email results to: SAresults@gov.im or send to: Student Awards, Hamilton House, Peel Road, Douglas, IM1 5EZ
