Last week Year 8 visited the Energy from Waste Plant as part of their Geography lessons to learn about energy, waste disposal and sustainability on the Isle of Man. They enjoyed a tour around the plant to find out how waste is burnt to produce 10% of the island’s electricity.
They also discussed ways in which we can recycle and reduce waste to be more sustainable.
The students really enjoyed the visit - many thanks to the Geography Department for arranging this.
