To support learning, all school students in the Isle of Man are provided with a Microsoft 365 account.

Think of this as their digital campus.

It gives them a safe, private space to access learning resources, collaborate, and use professional tools like Word and PowerPoint, completely separated from the public internet.

“OneDrive” (1TB of storage)	Students have an online classroom for each of their subjects. In each classroom there is an overview of planned learning for the year (Curriculum overview) along with details and resources relating to the lessons for each specific topic/unit currently being taught. This is found in the classwork section. Classrooms have details of any independent learning tasks (ILTs), optional learning tasks, and enrichment opportunities.	Students have access to Microsoft software such as “Excel”; “Word”; “PowerPoint” Which can be used online via a browser, plus They are also licensed to download these applications onto personal devices.	Student have (only when permissions have been granted)an Outlook Email account Students in Y7-9 require parental permission to activate email Y7-11 email accounts are locked so that email can only be sent or received within our campus and specific DESC approved (whitelisted) addresses.

How students can log in to Microsoft 365 at home

To login into their M365 account students should navigate to Microsoft 365 (M365) on a browser:

Username: This is the students account they log into school computers with “@student.sch.im” added to it. For example, 16CleverCloggs@student.sch.im

Password: This is the password student use to log into school computers

It is best if students predominantly work through a browser. In some cases, if they need a more powerful version of the software, they may wish to open a file in application. As mentioned above if they do not have these applications, they can install them on their own devices for free via the M365 site.
