Our Curriculum is about developing the skills, knowledge and attributes that we think are important for young people; so that they can live happy, productive and meaningful lives.
Our aim is to provide a diverse range of relevant and stimulating experiences so that all students are motivated, empowered and challenged to learn. We want our students to learn for life and recognise that life is about learning.
Our curriculum consists of all the intended experiences that we provide for our young people, these include:
- Weekly timetabled lessons (mostly based on traditional subject areas)
- Morning registration periods along with drop down days (where the normal timetable is suspended) to provide additional sessions that focus on developing life skills, employability skills, and considering health and social issues.
- Optional enrichment opportunities that are layered over the timetable to help students develop a wide range of additional skills; their health and well being; their view of the world.
