Young people aged 14 and over can find out more about jobs connected with the sea at the IOM Maritime Career Fair on the 9th July. This event has been organised by the IOM Maritime sector and is an opportunity to explore on land and at sea options for careers in Maritime.
Maritime enables 95% of the UK’s global trade and on the Island it touches on every part of our lives.
From working at sea or in a port, to working in the city of Douglas, to cleaning the oceans of plastics or designing a superyacht, maritime is big business. The sector is expected to double in size to $3trn by 2030 and Maritime needs the next generation of innovators and problem solvers to join the industry and help shape the future of the world we live in.
