A warm welcome to St. Ninian’s High School Sixth Form. We are a vibrant and thriving Sixth Form community, which prides itself on meeting the needs of every student. Our Sixth Form is a positive and fulfilling place to work and study!
We offer a wide range of Level 2 and Level 3 courses, which allows individual programmes to be set up for each student. Our students are highly successful individuals, both academically and socially, and we pride ourselves that they are consistently supported on the journey to their chosen pathway, whether that be university, higher-level apprenticeships or employment.
Through our numerous enrichment and wider school opportunities, we aim to encourage our students to develop into well-rounded individuals who have the skillset to face any challenge. The Sixth Form Enrichment Programme gives students the opportunity to access a wide range of seminars, talks and experiences designed to focus on their health and wellbeing, approaches to learning and essential life skills. Our Sixth Form Team of specialist Personal Tutors, Student Support and non-teaching staff are committed to developing positive relationships with our students and use their experience and expertise to support students through the key decisions they make about their future pathways.
Approximately 75% of our cohort apply to university; they are guided through the process by their tutors to ensure they have the best possible chance of gaining entry into their first choice university. For students who decide not to follow the university route, we have a dedicated Employability Co-ordinator who liaises with local employers to identify opportunities for post-18 employment.
