As the outcome of the US mid-term elections begins to take shape Year 13 Politics students were able (thanks to the Politics Project) to speak to two former members of the House of Representatives via Zoom. Democrat Elizabeth Esty and Republican Rob Woodall.
Questions put to Rob and Elizabeth from SNHS and the other schools involved ranged from predictions about the outcome of the current elections. Will Trump run again? Why doesn’t the US want a public healthcare system? And what changes could be made to Congress?
A very informative afternoon which bought much of what students have been studying in Year 13 Politics to life.
