The school will be closed to students and staff on Thursday 9th March due to the forecast adverse weather. The following government press release was issued on Wednesday 8th March.
There is now an amber weather warning in place for Thursday 9 and Friday 10 March, with snow, high winds and coastal overtopping forecasted.
Snow fall is likely throughout the morning, becoming more persistent midday on Thursday. All-island coverage is expected. , with the possibility of up to 20cm on higher grounds. This may continue through the night and in to Friday morning.
• Schools and UCM will be closed on Thursday 9 March, and a decision about Friday will be made before midday tomorrow
• All Public Counters will close at 12 noon tomorrow (Thursday)
• Residents are advised to work from home, where possible, and to make arrangements with the deteriorating weather in mind
• Off-island travel may be disrupted
