Last term KS3 students were invited to participate in the SNHS ‘Spirit of Normandy’ competition, to research and present an account on the contribution to war efforts made by members of the British Royal Family.

The History department received some wonderful entries and we are delighted to announce that the winning entry was submitted by Katie Jacobs who created a wonderful diary entry from the point of view of then Princess Elizabeth, conveying her experience during WWII and the work she did upon joining the Auxiliary Territorial Service as a mechanic.

Well done to all who entered the competition.
