Yesterday was our official leaving day for Year 13 students and amongst the happy smiles, a few tears and lots of laughter, we all enjoyed a celebratory lunch of pizza, cakes and refreshments. Staff and students took advantage of the opportunity to take photos with each other, using a photo booth provided by local company ‘Boxed Off’, which provided them with a lovely memento of the day. Each student was given a St. Ninian’s leavers’ notebook to capture messages and quotes from their peers to look back on in the future.

Following on from the lunch, we made our way over to St. Ninian’s Church for our formal leaving ceremony, which was led by our Chair of Governors, Mrs Brereton. Next we had a musical number from talented, Niall McCabe-O’Kelly, followed by the presentation of recognition certificates by the Sixth Form tutors. The afternoon was rounded off by Headteacher, Mr Coole who sent our students away with a thoughtful message and a poem from Dr. Zeuss!

Our Y13 students have been a credit to our school. They are talented, skilled and dedicated students who have clear plans for the future. We wish them well in their forthcoming exams and look forward to hearing about their future successes.
