Congratulations to Dandi Dancox, one of our senior prefects, who is travelling to London in the Summer to attend the National Youth Theatre.
In February, Dandi travelled to Lancaster to audition where she attended a workshop with 20 other students. They explored drama in a lively and exciting way and worked together to produce a small scene at the end of the day. She then had a solo audition where she performed a monologue followed by an interview.
Dandi auditioned along with 6500 other applicants and was lucky enough to be one of 500 students chosen. In August of this year she will be attending a masterclass course in London, which completes her membership. From this, she will build a portfolio and will have the ability to use the National Youth Theatre as a platform to audition for film, television and the West End. The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain is a world leading youth arts organisation based in London that allows young adults from the age of 13 to 25 to experience drama and all the technical aspects that go with it. World-renowned alumni include: Helen Mirren, Daniel Craig, Colin Firth and Orlando Bloom to name just a few.

"
