Since the Autumn Term, lower school students have been competing in a chess league which then resulted in the top placings having a knock out competition to be chess champion. The finals were played over 3 matches and the 2025 Lower School Chess Champion is Jericko Jiminez. He beat Alex Lewin in the final with consistent strategic play. The 3rd place play off final was between Ryan Cowley and George Jerram with George coming out on top.
