One of our teams who entered the One World Centre's Charity Challenge competition were passionate advocates and fundraisers for Developing Orphans. Developing Orphans is a Manx-based charity that aims to improve the lives of orphaned children and families living in the villages of Padibe and Akobi in Northern Uganda, whilst also providing the children with a vital education and vocational skills at Broadway Primary School. The money that the team raised throughout the competition has been used to purchase 120 examination desks for the school, which were desperately needed in order for the students to sit their end of year exams. Each of the desks have been stencilled in recognition of the links to St. Ninian's and the students intend to continue supporting Developing Orphans in the future.
