We were delighted to welcome Dr Jennifer Stone back to St. Ninian's to launch the ManSat Space School Scholarship. Dr Stone attended St.Ninian's before studying at St. Andrews University, achieving a First Class Honours degree in Astrophysics. She continued her studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, gaining a PhD Astronomy, MSc Physics and MSc Astronomy. After this, Dr Stone worked as a research scientist in theoretical astrophysics at Nagoya University, Japan and is now employed by ManSat, London, as a Senior Manager in Regulatory Affairs.
The Mansat competition is an excellent opportunity for students explain their views on space exploration and have the possibility of visiting NASA if they are chosen.
