Last week we held a Wellbeing Day for our Year 12 students, which allowed them to access seminars and workshops with a focus on looking after their health and wellbeing. The day started with an informative assembly delivered by Mannin Sepsis, followed by a series of workshops (details below). The day was closed by Mike Kewley, who delivered a mindfulness session. We would like to thank the following organisations for the wealth of information, ideas and support they provided for our students:

Dee Struthers, from Mannin Sepsis, who explained the work of the charity and the signs of sepsis.

Sam Lund, Health Education Officer, who led on sexual health.

Zoe Woodworth, from The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust, who covered mental health.

Mike Kewley, from Mindful Man, who gave an introduction to mindfulness

Christian Varley and Josh Green, from MSR, who led sessions on boxercise

Kirstie Morphet, from the Young Person’s Drug and Alcohol Team, who spoke on relevant current issues.

Clare Roberts, from Hummingbird Yoga, who led practical sessions on how to relax and relieve stress.
