Twenty Sixth Form Geographers have just returned from a fantastic trip to Iceland. They experienced some of the main sites, including a geyser where hot steams of water are ejected every five minutes. They visited Gulfoss, a massive waterfall, and Kerio, an ancient volcano. The group bathed in hot springs and visited a lava tunnel which they walked through after putting on specialist gear. The Icelandic culture was fully embraced and the group coped with typical Icelandic weather of minus two degrees and driving snow. All agreed that is was an amazing country and experience.
