I cannot believe that December is upon us already! Since taking up my position as Head at our school it has been an extremely busy time and I have been constantly impressed by the hard work and dedication of the school staff and the way in which most of our students apply themselves to their studies. I have very much enjoyed meeting and talking with staff, students and parents and I want to thank all of you for making me feel so welcome and for sharing your thoughts and ideas on how you think we can make our school even better than it already is. I have listened to what you have all been saying and I am confident we can make significant strides in some areas over the coming months and years.

I hope you are all looking forward to this festive time of year and I look forward to seeing many of you at some of our up and coming Christmas events. To get you fully into the Christmas spirit we have our Christmas Fayre on Friday 8th December (6.30pm to 8.30pm at Lower School), this will be chance to catch up with friends and to also pick up some presents. We then have our Carol Service at 7.30pm on Thursday 14th in St. Ninian's Church, closely followed by our annual Awards evening on Wednesday 20th December. Our final day of term is very late this year, 22nd December and, as is tradition, we will have our Annual Extravaganza organised by our 6th form and I invite all staff and students to wear a festive jumper to really get into the spirit of the season.

If I do not get to see you at any of these events, can I take this opportunity to send you seasons greetings and I wish you all a very happy new year. Nollick ghennal as blein vie noa!
