Well done to our SNHS girls who formed part of larger group of enthusiastic female footballers from the island's schools. Two U13 teams and an U15 team travelled to Manchester and Liverpool to play two fixtures against a school and club.
The under 13s teams played exceptionally well in tough, competitive games with Wright Robinson Sports College. They recorded a draw and a narrow 2-1 defeat. At the same time our under 15s earned a solid 4-0 victory.
The following day they played Formby FC. Unfortunately, the under 13s lost both their games. However, it was invaluable to play against such high quality opposition. The girls battled hard and never gave up, optimizing the enthusiasm and positivity of this squad. The under 15s continued their winning streak with a convincing win, gaining plaudits from Formby FC coaches too.
The girls were fantastic. They gave their full effort and commitment the entire time and were fantastic ambassadors for our school,
Well done girls!
