As part of the Digital Surgeries Programme run by the Politics Project, A level Politics and IGCSE Sociology students took part in a ZOOM conference with Graham Filler, state Representative from Michigan (Republican) and Craig Meyer State Representative from North Carolina (Democrat). Students put questions to them on a range of issues, from the forthcoming presidential elections to gun ownership, along with finding out more about how the American system of government works compared to our own.
Talking to the two politicians back to back gave students a great opportunity to see the very different views and responses these two politicians gave to similar questions.
