Today’s motion for the Sixth Form Debate Committee was “This house holds that ‘cancel culture’ does more harm than good”
There were some excellent impassioned speeches for both sides, and some detailed discussions on the use of cancel culture in relation to the #Metoo movement and with the recent celebrity case involving Johnny Depp.
Well done to the speakers for their well prepared speeches and thank you to the audience for their participation once again.
The motion was carried.
