Last week, as part of the introduction to our Sixth Form, the Debate Committee ran a debate for Year 11 students.
The motion was "This house holds that cancel culture does more harm than good".
The Debate Committee presented well prepared speeches that hit on some contemporary examples of this phenomenon. Both sides did an excellent job of speaking for or against, and in the end the motion was carried.
