Year 7 students recently enjoyed a trip to Douglas beach to perform beach studies and geographical fieldwork. This trip ties in with the coastal unit of work they are studying this summer term and will also lead onto a follow up piece of coursework on the topic.
The trip was a great success and the students gained a valuable insight into how fieldwork is conducted and how the Isle of Man Government are working to protect the prom from coastal erosion.
Many thanks to Mr Hennessy for arranging this and to all the staff who gave up their time to accompany the students.
