Criminology students were pleased to welcome Alan Shea to class yesterday to discuss his role in the decriminalisation of homosexuality on the Isle of Man. Alan gave a very open chat about his campaign and his motivations, as well as the outcome of his actions for him personally and the Isle of Man. This was great opportunity for criminology students to ask Alan questions and gather a case study example to support their learning. Alan’s visit also allowed them to hear about a real campaign for change that has impacted on their own lives.

Many thanks to Alan for giving his time to share his experience with our students.
