Last Wednesday, eleven Year 8 students represented St. Ninian’s at the final of the all-island Poetry Slam. This is an annual competition where groups of students write poems linked to one of the sustainable development goals, which they then perform in a ‘slam’ style.
The event is organised and hosted by the One World Centre and was a very entertaining evening.
Well done to all those who took part, especially the team who were runners-up with a performance of their poem, ‘Gone’. Our other representatives were Ethan Skillicorn, Joshua Hollamby, Noah Campbell, Phoebe Cringle, Ava Crute, Isabella Hartley and Grace Wolstencroft.
