SNHS Geography department held a competition based on the Year 8's recent assessment on the Energy from Waste Plant. The students had to produce a leaflet or presentation on how the plant works, where it is located, how it fits into the energy mix on the Island and finish off with their own opinion on the plant. The Geography department chose the best assessment from each tutor group and then the overall best 4 assessments were chosen for a trip back to the plant.
Congratulations Morgan Braidwood, Nicole Hardacre and Graihagh Morgan. On the return visit the students expertly operated the 3 tonne crane grabber and also visited the large fans which featured on the film “Storm Breaker”. Congratulations to all Year 8s with their efforts on the Energy from Waste Plant trip.
