After having to cancel this event at the beginning of March due to snow, we eventually managed to reschedule the event on the last day of the spring term.
Over 40 service users from the Manx Blind Welfare Centre, the Douglas and Onchan Live at Home Schemes and their helpers, spent a lovely afternoon in upper school having afternoon tea with bingo, a raffle and entertainment from Mr Maybury, Mr Dowty and Year 10 student, Shannon Eccles.
The Year 10 BTEC Health & Social Care students organised the event as part of their coursework, along with Year 12 students who have been working with the Live at Home Scheme as part of their Enrichment Programme. All the students worked very hard and received lots of compliments for the respect they showed and the effort they put into the event.
A lovely afternoon for all involved!
