On Tuesday 31st January our Year 12 students engaged in an Enrichment Day focussing on issues of Health and Wellbeing. We were delighted to welcome a number of guest speakers to whom we are indebted for sharing their expertise and insight with our students. We would like to thank the following people: Sarah Wignall for her workshop focussing on physical health, allowing the students to sample yoga. Hannah Groves from Love Life who led a very informative session on body respect and confidence; Thea Ozenturk and Mark Cromwell from Motiv8 who explored issues surrounding gambling and addiction; Sam Lund and Dr Jenny Waters (from the SARC team) who delivered sessions covering sexual assault and harassment and Mike Kewley who delivered sessions on Mindfulness. The day finished with PC Paddy Moore leading an important talk on the importance of driving safely.

All of the workshops were delivered in response to student requests. We continually revisit our enrichment programme and were delighted with the many positive outcomes of the day.

A huge thank you to all the visitors and to Miss Sharpe for co-ordinating the event.
