16 Year 11 students went on a day trip to Liverpool on Saturday to see Northern Stage's hard-hitting adaptation of Ken Loach's award-winning film, I Daniel Blake.
The students were an absolute credit to the school, and their excellent behaviour and good humour was commented on by members of the public both on The Manannan and at The Liverpool Playhouse. Owing to the late-running of the ferry, they had to speed walk from the pier head to the theatre - the students rose to the challenge and made it to The Playhouse with minutes to spare. Despite the somewhat choppy conditions on the return journey, everyone discussed the play and made notes.
A huge THANK YOU to Miss Davis for stepping into the breach at the last minute to enable the trip to go ahead.
