Last week saw the start of the hockey season for inter-school sport. The teams started their campaigns with a trip out west to QEII.

Seniors:

What a fantastic start to Senior Hockey with a 4-2 win against QEII. All students played extremely well especially after not having had many training sessions together. The girls put 100% in the whole way and worked together excellently from defence through to attack. Goal scorers were – Lucy Barnett, Leah Prentice, Macey Crellin and Molly Wheeler. A much-deserved player of the match for Macey Crellin.

Year 9:

The girls played very well throughout the match and never gave up. They were unfortunate not to win the game. The girls had a couple of excellent fast breaks and attacking periods were the ball just slipped wide of the goal. There were lots of positives to take away from the game and ensure that the team keeps progressing.

Player of the match went to Willow with excellent goalkeeping and Taylor for great defensive skills.
