Last week our Year 8 students participated in a PSHE Day focusing on managing money. Students attended workshops run by Barclay’s Life Skills and UK charity MyBNK who are funded by Old Mutual. Visitors from Old Mutual came in to observe some of the sessions and very much enjoyed working with Year 8. Students also heard from local businesses, small and large, including Dangerous Apparel, The Isle of Man Creameries and The Apple Orphanage. It was a great day enjoyed by both students and visiting speakers, and Year 8 students were given lots to think about with regards to looking after their money, earning money and spending it now and in the future! Many thanks to all the volunteers and visitors who supported this event.
