This week A level Politics students had the opportunity to participate in two Zoom calls with UK politicians.

On Monday, students met with Baroness Blower, a Labour peer in the House of Lords. Students had a chance to ask her about the work of the Lords, her career in and out of politics, and also her views on the current labour party and plans for a fairer society.

On Tuesday, students met with Martin Vickers, Conservative MP for Cleethorpes. Mr Vickers was questioned on his support of Brexit, his views on the 5 Conservative Prime Ministers he has served under and the effectiveness of Parliament holding government to account.

A fantastic opportunity for students to see in a more personalised way the workings of the UK political system in preparation for their exams.
