It was great to welcome Andrea Gilmore & Sandy Shimmin from the IOM Tax Office, into school to discuss the reasons and benefits of paying both tax and national insurance contributions. It proved to be an excellent seminar for all Sixth Form students, highlighting the many positives of paying contributions and how it benefits the community on a bigger scale. They discussed in greater detail payslips, taxation codes, deductions (and how they are calculated), income tax return forms, online services (and what they do) and also working at Treasury/Income Tax Division.
It was a wonderful session and we are grateful for both Andrea & Sandy for taking time out of their working day to pop into school to deliver such an informative seminar.
