Last Monday saw a thrilling first game for St. Ninian's Hockey, as the Year 8s faced QEII. The A Team were 2-0 down at half-time but with some excellent attacking play and resilience, the girls made a comeback in the second half to draw the game 2-2, with Maixa and Tallulah slotting the ball into the back of the net. The B Team were unlucky to come away with a loss, as the scoreline could have gone either way, with great play from Tilly and Tegan. The C Team also had an exciting game, winning 1-0 thanks to Jessie-B's goal, Lian and Maddie also deserve a mention for their teamwork. Zerina made some great saves throughout the afternoon as GK. The D Team game faced tough opposition and lost 2-0, although they did have some good attacking plays, with Alisha and Leticia working well together.
A great first Hockey fixture for the Year 8s, with lots of positives to take away and build on - Let's go Saints!
