This year, we were delighted to introduce a new Year 6 transition project in collaboration with several of our primary partner schools. Participating schools were paired together, with each group working collaboratively to design and develop their own country.
The project spanned several weeks and began with pupils completing a cross-curricular booklet focused on an existing country, providing inspiration and a foundation for their own creations. The quality of work produced was exceptional, and, more importantly, the level of teamwork, commitment and work ethic demonstrated by each group was outstanding.
The project concluded with a celebratory exhibition, where Year 6 pupils showcased their work to parents and guardians. Across the two exhibitions, we were pleased to welcome a total of 130 visitors.
Mrs Parr, our Transition Co-ordinator, was extremely impressed with every Year 6 pupil and would also like to extend her sincere thanks to the Year 6 staff for their dedication and support in facilitating this successful transition project.
