This term, Year 7 were set an independent learning task in which they were challenged with making a Norman castle. They have been learning about different types of castles for the last couple of months and have thoroughly enjoyed this activity.

As you can see below, great amounts of effort were put into these castles by some of the students. Who thought that artificial grass, lollipop sticks and painted cardboard could make such amazing pieces of art. Year 7 have certainly done themselves proud with this activity and have all received accolades for the work they have handed in. Some of them were so good that we just had to put them on display at the school entrance!

A big thank you as well to all the parents that helped source the materials and offer guidance to the students in this independent learning task. Ms Mellor, Ms Stringfield and Mr Salmon are very proud.
