On Friday, May 8th, we bid a fond farewell to our Year 13 students as they celebrated the end of their time at St. Ninian’s High School. Over the past two years, this year group has been nothing short of exceptional, and we are certain that their hard work, resilience, and determination will serve them well in the future.

The celebrations began with a gathering in the Main Hall, where staff joined students to share their goodbyes, along with plenty of refreshments, laughter, and, unsurprisingly, many friendship photographs. We then made our way to St. Ninian’s Church for the official Leavers’ Ceremony, which included the presentation of certificates and school trophies in recognition of students’ achievements and contributions to school life.

A highlight of the morning was a wonderful performance by Kasia Ashton, accompanied by Lauren Winrow, who performed a beautifully fitting leavers’ song. Students then gathered for some final photographs with their tutors before heading off to begin celebrations of their own — responsibly, we hope!

This has been a fantastic year group to work with, filled with talented, ambitious, and supportive young people who are now preparing to take their next steps into higher education, apprenticeships, and employment. The future is certainly bright, and we look forward to hearing about all they achieve in the years ahead.

As I said in the farewell speech: “There are no regrets in life, only lessons.” We wish all of our Year 13 students every success in their forthcoming examinations and beyond. We have no doubt they will do brilliantly.

Good luck, Class of 2026, and remember — keep in touch!
