Our Year 10 Health and Social Care students have been exploring a range of therapies and their benefits as part of their current unit of work.
To bring their learning to life, we have welcomed a number of inspiring visitors who shared their expertise and experiences. Students had the opportunity to learn about the positive impact of therapy dogs with Paws for Therapy, explore the principles of Person Centred and Gestalt therapy with Mrs Cashen, discover the physical and mental wellbeing benefits of Pilates with Jess from Studio Vida, and understand how music therapy can support individuals in a variety of settings with Heather Daykin from Music Therapy Isle of Man.
These valuable sessions have helped students gain a deeper understanding of how different therapies can enhance health, wellbeing and quality of life.
A huge thank you to all our visitors for their time and sharing their knowledge with our students.
