On Thursday 1st February 110 students from Y9-11 will be taking part in the UK Mathematics Trust Intermediate Challenge.

This is an annnual competition in which students at SNHS have had great success over the past 12 years.

It consists of 25 multiple choice questions designed to stimulate interest and provide problems which are fun to solve.

The highest performers nationally will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze certificates. They may even qualify for the following round, the Bristish Mathematical Olympiad.

Good luck to all those who have volunteered to compete this year and, more importantly, we hope they all enjoy doing it!
