Mr Cretney and Mrs Hunter were delighted with a hugely enjoyable ‘Great Year 7 Bake Off’ at Lower School in our continued support of Hospice Isle of Man and the 'Wallabies Gone Wild' event. 16 bakes were entered into the competition and we invited Mr Coole and Mr Downward (from Hospice) to judge on ‘Taste’ and ‘Look/Story’. The students enthusiastically shared their bake stories with the judges and they all produced such fantastic bakes it made judging really difficult. After much deliberation the final placings agreed on were:
1st place – Beth Turner-Priest 7E (Rainbow Cake with sweets inside)
2nd place – Owen Braidwood 7G (Red Velvet Drip Cake)
3rd place – Caleb Pease 7G (Chocolate Cake with caramel and Mini Eggs)
Special Award – Liam Chilcott 7H (Marble and Purple Cupcakes)
Our Year 7 bakers sold their bakes by slice at break time and lunchtime to students and staff raising £129!
Well done to all the bakers and students for playing their part in our community.
