Many thanks to Dawn Dickens, the Biodiversity Education Officer from the Manx Wildlife Trust, who delivered an assembly to Year 10 recently on spotting Manx butterflies. The students learnt that there are 19 species on the Island and that residents are encouraged to take part in a Butterfly Spotting Survey, using specially designed postcards, to help track numbers of particular species and butterfly migration in the Isle of Man. The Year 10 Prefects are now planning to deliver some KS3 assemblies in order to encourage our younger students to get involved in the project.
