Our Year 9 Applied Learning class enjoyed a visit to Children’s Services recently, where they gained an insight into Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language. During the visit they were given a number of practical tasks to investigate their muscle strength and enjoyed finding out more about these occupations. We extend our thanks to representatives from Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy for their time.
The students have also been to visit the legislative buildings, where they found out about the different elements of law and the processes which take place in each chamber. They enjoyed a tour, led by Emma Gaines, and learned much about the practicalities of the legal process.
The students are now writing reports on their visits as part of their Community Unit.
