For the third year running, a group of KS3 students went to Edgehill University to experience a day at a campus University. In the morning they had a tour of the campus with some second year undergraduates and were shown the facilities on site. After lunch, they had some time for reflection on the opportunities a Higher Education pathway offers, leading students to think of reasons why someone might consider opting for University. They explored the skills needed in certain careers and were able to analyse their own skills through an engaging quiz. St. Ninian’s students were also able to find out more through a question and answer session at the end of the afternoon on all the practical aspects of living away from home and working towards a degree. The day ended with some shopping and sunbathing!

The students, who were a mixed group of Year 8 and Year 9, were extremely well behaved, inquisitive and a credit to the school.

Thank you to Ms Crisford, Mr Dargan, Mrs Géal-Wilkes and Mrs Needle for accompanying our students.
