Since September our students have been improving their vocabulary with the Core Skills ‘Word of the Week’. Each week a new word is shared with students, along with a definition and a translation into French and Spanish. Students are encouraged to use the word in any lesson, class task or homework and are given epraise points when they show that they have used it.
Words that have been used so far are: optimist, altruistic, charisma, forage, conundrum, hirsute and dumbfounded.
Well done to all students who tried so hard to improve their vocabulary this half-term.
