The Senior Rugby team have had an exceptional season, finishing 2nd in the league with wins over Ramsey, King Williams College, QEII and local rivals Ballakermeen. The Saints had a home semifinal tie against 3rd placed Ramsey Grammar and came out victorious by 33 points to 24. It was the first time St. Ninian’s had reached a Senior Rugby final in around 25 years! The boys came up against an excellent Castle Rushen side who ran out winners by 60 to our 12. There were some excellent performances on the night with both Craig and Kyle Martin in fine form, Harry Crompton scored a great try and Aedan Kelly impressed in the second half with some resolute defending. All in all, an amazing season and one which will be remembered. The lads now look forward to a tour of Manchester in the new year to face both English school and Clubs sides.
